JewelACL™

For Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

The JewelACL is a specialized textile scaffold which is rendered versatile for ACL reconstruction by various structural features. The scaffold is treated with a proprietary gas plasma treatment process that increases its surface energy and renders it hydrophilic.

The JewelACL can be implanted using modern ACL guide wire systems with a similar anteromedial or transtibial surgical technique to that utilized for hamstring grafts.

Description

The JewelACL is indicated for ACL reconstruction. It can be used in conjunction with a hamstring graft for a partial tissue sparing reconstruction, or implanted alone for a total tissue sparing reconstruction.

MPFL System™

For Reconstruction of the Medial Patellofemoral Ligament

The MPFL System comprises a 10 mm x 500 mm Poly-Tape implant in conjunction with a 6 mm Fastlok™ fixation device. The Poly-Tape is looped through and around the patella, and secured to the femoral attachment site using the titanium Fastlok staple. The medial patellofemoral ligament is thus reconstructed without the need to harvest soft tissue.

Description

The MPFL System is indicated for reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament in cases of recurrent patellar subluxation or dislocation.

Benefits

PatellarTape System™

For Patellar Tendon Reconstruction

The PatellarTape System comprises a wide, open weave Poly-Tape implant (30 mm x 800 mm) with associated disposable instrumentation to repair a ruptured patellar tendon, without the need to harvest autogenous tissue.

Description

The use of the 30 mm x 800 mm Poly-Tape for patellar tendon reconstruction is particularly recommended in the following types of cases

  • Where the diagnosis of rupture is delayed
  • Where prolonged immobilization would be undesirable
  • Patients who have a total knee arthroplasty in situ
  • Where a previous patellectomy has been performed
  • Complex patellar fractures

Benefits

  • Provides excellent intrinsic strength and allows early mobilization
  • Use of metalwork and wire cerclage is unnecessary, avoiding the associated high complication rate and problems of secondary removal

The QuadsTape System comprises a wide, open weave Poly-Tape implant (30 mm x 800 mm) with associated disposable instrumentation to repair a ruptured quadriceps tendon, without the need to harvest autogenous tissue.

Description

The use of the 30 mm x 800 mm Poly-Tape for quadriceps tendon repair is particularly recommended in the following types of cases:
