- What's Included
For Augmentation of Massive Rotator Cuff TearsThe Rota-Lok implant comprises a wide central scaffold which tapers to a dense thin cord at each end. The flat open mesh scaffold is 120 mm long and 10 mm wide. This bridges the gap between the torn rotator cuff and the humeral head. The implant has an overall length of 500 mm.
How it Works
The mesh section of the Rota-Lok passes under the cuff. This resembles a mattress stitch
The mesh section of the Rota-Lok spans the gap between the torn rotator cuff and the footprint on the humeral head
The device is passed through two small (2.5 mm diameter) bone tunnels and sits inside the tunnel
The cord emerges from the tunnel entrances
The ends of the cords are tied with a reef knot with an extra throw
